Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about PTA and our AI-powered training.

General Information
Who is this platform for?
PTA is designed for student pilots at all stages, including RPL, PPL, CPL, ATPL, and IREX, as well as instructors and training organisations looking to enhance their teaching systems.
What makes PTA different from traditional question banks?
Unlike fixed question banks, PTA generates near-infinite exam-style questions. This ensures students learn concepts rather than memorising answers, leading to better exam performance and deeper understanding.
Are the questions similar to real exams and CASA-compliant?
Yes. All questions are aligned with the CASA Part 61 MOS syllabus and designed to reflect real exam standards in structure, difficulty, and wording.
Learning & Features
Can I choose what topics I want to study?
Yes. You can select specific subjects and subtopics aligned with the CASA Part 61 MOS syllabus, allowing you to focus on exactly what you need.
Do I get solutions for every question?
Yes. Every question includes a fully worked, step-by-step solution to help you understand the process, not just the answer.
Can I use PTA on my phone?
Yes. The platform is accessible on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops. Full learning features are optimised for larger screens.
Credits & Billing
What are credits and do they expire?
Credits are the platform’s currency. One credit equals one mark worth of question. Your credits remain valid indefinitely and never expire. They can be used across any subject.
Can I buy a small number of credits?
Yes. You can purchase credits in smaller amounts (e.g. 30 credits) or in bulk for better value.
What if I don’t like the platform?
If you’re not satisfied within a short period, any unused credits can be refunded at the same purchase price.
Instructors & DODU
What is DODU and who is it for?
DODU is PTA’s instructor-focused tool. It is built for flight schools, ground theory instructors, and training organisations delivering CASA RPL, PPL, CPL, and ATPL theory. It allows teachers to generate customised exams and distribute them to students.
Can instructors track student performance?
Yes. Instructors can monitor student progress, identify weak areas, and tailor training accordingly through our deep analytics dashboard.
